Inglot Freedom System Palette Swatch and Review.

Hey guys!

Todays post is going to be a swatch and review of Inglot eye shadows i purchased a month or two ago. They were purchased at separate times so i have two  "Freedom System Palettes".
I was lucky enough to walk into Inglot when they where having 15% of storewide as part of Chadstone Shopping Centre's VIP days, an event that is held several days throughout the year in which about 90% of the shops inside the shopping center will have some sort of discount or special offer for that limited day.
On my first visit i chose the "Freedom System Palette" with 3 eye shadows, I was really loving copper tones at that time and I wanted a little palette I could grab to create a specific eye look. I chose two copper shades, one of which borders on a golden colour, one that is red-toned and a mid toned brown which is a really versatile shade as I can use it in my crease or as a transition colour.
I was so impressed with the quality and pigmentation of these eye shadows especially considering they do not have a hefty price tag. This trio of eye shadows I chose as I said had 15% off its original price, here is a list of full price and the discounted amounts:

Freedom System Palette 3 Eye Shadow Square:

  •  $12.00 full price
  •  $10.20 with 15% off

Freedom System Eye Shadow Single Square Refill:

  • $10.00 full price
  • $8.50 with 15% off

With having chosen 3 eye shadows and a palette my total came to $35.70 saving $6.30 off the original price, however even if there was no special offer I would have been more than happy to pay the full price for these amazing eye shadows.

My second purchase from Inglot was a quad of the same "Freedom System Palette" but was on a different day although somehow I managed to unknowingly pick a day where Inglot were having a special offer for one day only of again 15% off! This time I was looking for more winter colours, selecting a plum, dark red, taupe and a matte brown.
The quad was originally $13.00 but with the discount it came down to $11.05, adding on the 4 single square eye shadow refills also at 15% off the total was $45.05, less than the price of most high end single eye shadows.

In my opinion these are comparable to such brands as MAC and Stila but with the advantage of a much lower price. I never really heard much about Inglot eye shadows in the internet world which is especially why I wanted to make this posts as I feel that everyone should know of their great quality, not to mention a large selection of colours. I love the look of the palettes, the packaging is high quality and not at all tacky, the clear lid enables you to see which colours are inside, they are sleek and space saving and the magnets are a great alternative to having a hinge-like lid.

Below are pictures and swatches of both palettes.

And lastly i just wanted to show you guys a comparison photo between a MAC, Stila and Inglot eye shadow, each have only been swiped once. I think you will see for yourself it is very hard to see the difference!

Product Review #1

Chi Chi 2 in 1 - 'Shimmer & Matte Eye Brightener' Review and Swatches.

Hey guys!
I thought i would share with you a little gem i found whilst in Myer the other week.
I had been looking for a drug store dupe of the Benefit "High Brow" but had had no such luck until i stumbled upon the Chi Chi 2 in 1 - 'Shimmer & Matte Eye Brightener'. One side is a 'Matte Inner Rim Highlighter' and the other is a 'Shimmer Eye Highlighter'.
One of the features of this product is that you get a double ended pencil (one matte, one shimmer) as opposed to if you wanted both effects from Benefit's "High Brow" range you would need to purchase both their separate pencils (one in matte, one in shimmer, the shimmer being more of a pinkish tone) which would set you back around $39.00AUD each, where as the Chi Chi pencil retails for $14.95 AUD.

                                                                     Packaging:

Matte

Shimmer

This multi purpose make up product can be used to:
☑ Line your waterline to brighten your eyes and make them appear bigger.
☑ Outline the bottom of your eyebrow to add more definition and a more crisp line.
☑ Create an inner corner (eye fold) highlight, giving your eye look a vamp and again to make your eyes look bigger and more awake.
☑ Put as a base under your eye shadows to make the colours more vibrant and long wearing.
☑ Highlight your cheek and brow bones, as the shimmer shade blends effortlessly.

                                                             Swatches:

Overall i think this very pigmented product is such good value for money and i would highly recommend going out and giving it a go, especially if you are considering buying the 'High Brow' by Benefit . Getting your hands on this awesome make up item is easy as you can find it in local stores which means no need for paying postage and waiting what seems like eternity for that parcel to show up in your mailbox!
You can find The Eye Brightener and all other Chi Chi cosmetics at most Myer and Target retailers, along with their official website http://www.chichicosmetics.com

I hope you enjoyed my fist review and found it helpfull!
